Your Top Choice for Music Lessons in Centerpoint Campus
Our Centerpoint Studio was established in 1990 at Centerpoint Mall, serving the North York, Toronto and Thornhill communities. As the Centerpoint Mall was restructured, the Ontario Conservatory of Music was given the opportunity to expand into a larger, beautiful space, allowing us to serve our students more effectively and grow further. Our dedicated teachers have taught thousands of students at this location, and we continue to offer our fun and exciting music programs to families in the community.
What Can You Expect With A High-Quality Program With Our School?
Unlike the majority of other schools, and retail stores offering lessons, our staff are not independent contractors!
All teaching staff are employees of the Ontario Conservatory of Music. Our teachers require a university degree in music education and are required to teach all levels of Theory while following and delivering the Royal Conservatory Program Syllabus. As employees our teachers are trained to specifically deliver the program you expect from Ontario Conservatory while developing a relationship with your child that will keep them engaged.
There are many teachers that have attempted to join our team but through our evaluation have learned that in many cases there was no formal training for the applicant. It is very important when choosing a school to know who you are entrusting with your family’s musical education!
The Royal Conservatory Program Syllabus
At the Ontario Conservatory of Music, you will be guided through our accredited syllabus while getting ready for the annual examinations. Once students reach Grade 5, they begin the RCM syllabus and start preparing for the RCM exams.
By receiving this high-quality program with our school your child can obtain two high school credits, which is RCM piano level seven, and eight while also completing levels nine, and ten which would qualify your child to one day students of their own!
While we take pride in teaching some of the highest-achieving students in Halton Region, we also provide preparation for students aiming to reach university-level performance.
