Ontario Conservatory of Music established the Dixie Studio in 1990 it is located in South East Mississauga. We opened our doors in 1990 on the second floor of the Dunwyn Centre, which is located in the Dixie and Dundas area. In order to serve our growing student body at the Dixie location we are in the process of moving from our current second floor location in the Dunwyn Centre to a more convenient and new main floor space. Our teachers have taught countless students in this location, we continue to offer our fun and exciting music programs to families in the community.
The Ontario Conservatory of Music pioneered many progressive music programs starting with Hawaiian Guitar, Accordion, Organ, and eventually Piano, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Voice, and also Pre-school music programs, Theory, History, Harmony, and many others. Ontario Conservatory of Music has fine tuned several private study lesson programs, and pioneered what has become the most popular method for music study today, group instruction. Young children through to teenagers and adults through group instruction learn faster, learn by comparison and learn to play in unison.
Ontario Conservatory of Music has been the staple of music education setting the standard for top quality teaching throughout Ontario for over 76 years. Ontario Conservatory of Music opened its first Mississauga location in 1939 and has continued to grow with the community ever since.
Since opening our doors in Mississauga, Ontario Conservatory of Music has taught millions of students! Due to our commitment to teaching excellence in Toronto and to better serve our valued students the Ontario Conservatory of Music continues to grow.
