Our guitar program includes acoustic, electric and bass guitar. Our guitar faculty is comprised of versatile musicians who can instruct students in everything from rock to jazz, contemporary to pop.
Many of our teachers actively perform in bands. Our guitar teachers have college or university music degrees so they know the proper theory and technique no matter if a student is interested in jazz or in rock. We also offer ensemble opportunities for guitar students so they can acquire essential collaborative skills, whether they desire to play in a contemporary ensemble or rock/jazz/pop band.
At the Ontario Conservatory of Music our guitar lessons includes acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. Our Music School is comprised of a team of dedicated and professional teachers who can teach students in a variety of musical styles from Rock to Jazz, Contemporary to Pop. Teaching to all levels, and to all ages, in both individual or group settings our students can expect to learn within a fun, focused, and educational environment at our Music School. Following a well developed guitar methodology, guitar syllabus, and through annual examinations, performance and recital, our guitar teachers will ensure a strong technical foundation, and musical appreciation for guitar that will enable students to successfully reach their full musical potential. At the Ontario Conservatory of Music, not only do we teach students how to play guitar, but through the guitar we teach students how to play music; music that can last a lifetime. That’s the OCOM way!
